FIREMATIC HISTORY

Special thanks to Truck 1 Firefighter Brandon Milliner for his tremendous assistance in arranging this photo shoot.

“Victory”

Organized in 1930, Victory Engine Co# 4 operates an engine & heavy rescue from this firehouse located just blocks from the infamous 100 Terrace Avenue housing project where the department frequently responds for multiple alarm fires, nuisance calls & EMS alarms.

These street signs honor the memory of two Victory Engine Co# 4 members who lost their lives in the line of duty - Ex-Chief Brian Fahey, an FDNY Rescue 4 firefighter lost during the Father’s Day Fire of 2001 & Ex-Captain Durrell “Bronk” Pearsall, an FDNY Rescue 4 firefighter lost on 9/11. May their service to the citizens of Hempstead and New York City never be forgotten.
