Organized in 1961, Quiambaug Fire Company provides Fire, Rescue and EMS First Response protection to the Western portion of Stonington with ten active volunteers answering an annual average of 160 alarms.

This rig started a new color scheme for the company's apparatus - while on an inspection trip, the fire chief noticed this color on another rig being assembled and arranged to have Engine 21 painted the same color. He did not tell the members until it was delivered - they liked it so much they adopted it as the new color scheme for their fleet. Having replaced a 1981 Spartan/RD Murray 1500/1000
pumper, it is outfitted with three pre-connects (two 1-1/2" including one plumbed for foam and one 2-1/2") and hard sleeve suction hose with a floating strainer.
Tanker T-24 - 2020 Freightliner/KME 1500 gpm/2000 gal.
The company's newest apparatus, this rig replaced a 1990 International/Ranger 1250/1000 pumper. It is adorned with artwork honoring the memory of Fire District President Seth F. Wakeman and his wife Joanna who were tragically lost when struck by a vehicle while walking in the community.
