When organized in 1934, the members met in the basement of the B. Schwanda and Sons button factory prior to moving to an unused two story garage/dance hall on the property. In 1951, the department moved into this two story firehouse which present day operates as Station 145 - it is dedicated to the memory of Fred L. Finch who as an original founder of the department served as chief for 15 years. An electric manual warning siren acquired in 1941
was relocated to this firehouse and later updated with automatic controls allowing the state police to alert the department to alarms when citizens called a two digit emergency number.Squad 145 - 2018 Spartan/4 Guys 1500 gpm/1000 gal./30B foam
