Organized in 1952, the Willington Hill FD serves a 33.5 square mile rural residential community providing Fire, Rescue and EMS First Response protection. Operating from one station constructed in 1954, 35-40 volunteers (including 15 Class A firefighters) answer an average of 900 alarms annually.

Responding first due, it is outfitted with a Hurst® e-Draulic battery powered combi-tool. Its' hose complement includes a 150' 1-3/4" bumper line, three 150' crosslays (two 1-3/4", one 2-1/2"), a 150' 1-3/4" attack line on the officers side,

Serving the Willington Hill FD in Connecticut, this workhorse features three reels with 1-3/4" (200') and 2-1/2" attack lines (150' and 200') as well as 2,325' of 5" LDH supply line on a rear mounted reel. It is equipped with two 200' 1-3/4" crosslays and a portable hydrant manifold (5" intake to multiple 1-3/4" discharges).
Forestry 149 - 2004 Mercedes Benz AWD Unimog HP pump/500 gal.
Acquired in 2009 from the private collection of a wealthy businessman, Willington Hill was able to secure grant funding for refurbishment by a vendor in Pennsylvania. It features roll cage cab protection, top mount pump controls in the rear bed, a front mount winch and a 450' booster reel with wildland nozzle. it is outfitted with a 100' 2-1/2" crosslay, 75' of 3" supply line and wildland hand tools.
Rescue 149 - 1996 Mack MR/Marion
This rather unyque rig features a walk-in area accessible through side cab doors as well as a separate rear walk-in area. It is outfitted with an absorbent hopper (built in-house), a four bottle 6,000 psi cascade system with Space Saver fill station, Hurst® e-Draulic battery powered extrication tools (cutter/spreader/rams) and four SCBA in the rear walk-in area.
