Organized in June of 1962, the Bel Alton Vol. Fire Department provides Fire, Rescue and EMS protection to the communities of Bel Alton, Faulkner and the south end of La Plata. Fifty active volunteers answer an annual average of 1,300 alarms (500 Fire, 800 EMS).
Engine 101 - 1997 Pierce Lance 1250 gpm/750 gal.
This rig was rehabbed during 2017-2018 by Atlantic Emergency Solutions with an LED warning light upgrade and a review of the motor/pump. Engine 102, a twin 2002 Pierce Lance 1250/750 was replaced in 2022 with a new Pierce Enforcer 2000/1000 engine.

Engine 104 - 2020 Dodge Ram 3500/Vengeant "Sandstorm" 300 gpm/250 gal/Brush 10 - 1999 Ford F350/Allsafe/BAVFD 200 gpm/300 gal.
Engine 104 which is assigned for brush fires and EMS first response in inclement weather was placed into service in 2021 at which time the former Engine 104 was converted in-house to serve as Brush 10. Formerly operating a 1985 Chevrolet provided by the State Forestry Department, Brush 10 was constructed using the booster reel from the '85' Chevy, the skid unit coming off the '99 Ford and an upgrade to LED warning lights. Engine 104 features a vinyl graphics wrap to match the fleet
and was delivered with a "straight pipe" muffler with no headers and definitely sounded like a brush truck should!
Rescue Squad 10 ("Dime Time") - 2014 Pierce Arrow XT 250 gpm/100 gal.
This well appointed rig features a light tower, four bottle cascade system with two bottle Spacesaver fill station and two Hurst® Trimo pumps powering a pre-connected spreader and cutter on both sides and the front bumper.
It is outfitted with a portable Hurst® pump, Paratech® rescue struts, an air chisel, six SCBA (including the driver), RIT pack, Stokes basket, SKED stretcher and four Stihl® rotary and chainsaws (two each).
