Read MoreFollowing their organization in 1949, Nanjemoy's first firehouse was constructed in 1950. In 1976 construction began on the current firehouse with move-in completed by April of 1977, in 2001 an addition to the firehouse was supervised by the original builder of the 1976 project! Occupied in 2003, the addition included bunk rooms, four additional apparatus bays and a training/meeting room. A memorial to the past members who served the company was built in 2017.

Featuring a Water Expansion Pressure System (WEPS, operates similar to a Compressed Air Foam System), this custom designed rig replaced a 1988 Ford/3-D that also featured a WEPS. Assigned for response to brush fires, it is outfitted with a 20,000 pound front mount winch and a full complement of brush/wildland firefighting tools.
