Serving the communities encompassed in the 8th Election District, Bay District VFD provides Fire & Rescue protection Fifty active members (including live-ins) operating from two stations respond to an annual average of 1,200 alarms.
Company 3 - Lexington Park Station
Operating as Headquarters for the BDVFD, it houses an engine, engine-tanker, tillered aerial and brush truck. It is also home to an impressive memorial monument and regional training facility in the rear portion.
Company 9 - California Station
Serving the California community, its' fleet includes an engine, rescue engine, tower ladder, brush truck and utility. The station is outfitted with living quarters (including a brass sliding pole) for live-in members.
Engine 32 ("War Wagon III") - 2015 Pierce Arrow XT 1500 gpm/730 gal.
Engine 34 - 2010 Pierce Arrow XT 1500 gpm/2500 gal.
Engine 91 - 2010 Pierce Arrow XT 1500 gpm/700 gal./25 gal. A&B foam
First due out of Company 9's California Station, it is outfitted with a battery powered Holmatro® combi-tool.
Rescue Engine 92 - 2019 Pierce Enforcer 1500 gpm/500 gal.
Outfitted with a Holmatro® CORE hydraulic system supplying four reels as well as portable power units, it is equipped with a spreader, cutter and combi-tool. In addition, it carries Paratech® struts, air bags, a portable winch, PFD's and water rescue throw bags.
Engine 93 - 2004 Spartan Gladiator Evolution/Saulsbury 1500 gpm/1500 gal.
Typically held as a reserve engine, it also responds first due from Company 9's California Station for mutual aid requests.
Truck 3 - 2008 Seagrave Marauder II 100'
This rig replaced a 1976 Imperial/Grove 100' rear mount aerial that was refurbished in 1991 by LTI with a four door cab that served until 2008.
Tower 9 - 2016 Pierce Arrow XT/1973 Baker 75' Aerialscope
Original to Brevard County, Florida and later Cornwall-on-Hudson, New York this rig was the 107th Aerialscope produced which was later remounted by Pierce in 2016. Its' ground ladder complement includes a 16' Little Giant as well as 24, 28, 35 and 45 foot extension ladders.
Rescue Squad 3 - 2014 Pierce Arrow XT 250 gpm PTO/200 gal.
A "wet" rescue, it is outfitted with a PTO pump and both 150' and 200' 1-3/4" pre-connects. In addition, it features a light tower, four bottle cascade system with SpacesaverTM fill station, two Holmatro® TrimoTM pumps (supplying the bumper and three reels) and a 15,000 lb. front mounted winch with synthetic cable.
For extrication, it is equipped with a Holmatro spreader/cutter (two of each), five rams (including telescoping), pedal cutter, an inclined cutter and a battery powered combi-tool. It also carries Paratech® struts, eight air bags (four each 17 & 34 ton capacity),
a 300 pound rated floor jack, six SCBA, a Pak-Hammer, oxy-acetylene and Arcair® SliceTM torches, rope/water/BLS medical gear, a Honda® portable generator, assorted saws and fans and a 9,000 lb. portable winch.
Brush 9 - 2008 Ford F-350 4x4 100 gpm/175 gal./5 gal. A foam
Featuring a 200' booster reel, it is equipped with 200' of 1" forestry hose, 200' of 1-3/4" attack line, 50' of 2-1/2" fill line and a chainsaw.
Car 3 - 2013 Ford Interceptor - Brush 3 - 2004 Ford F250 4x4 150 gpm/150 gal.
Utility 9 - 2016 Chevy 2500 4x4
Assigned for utility purposes, it is equipped with BLS medical gear including an AED for cardiac arrest/overdose assists with the Lexington Park Vol. Rescue Squad.
