Bayview Volunteer Fire Co.
Organized in 1929, Bayview Fire Co# 4 serves the southeastern portion of Galloway Township. Operating from two stations, the company provides Fire and Rescue protection answering 400 alarms annually.
Station 26-4A
Shown here with dual 2005 Dodge Durango command cars, this firehouse was constructed in 1980 with an extension added in 1992 to accommodate Tower 49. The company's original firehouse (Station 4) was built in 1928 on donated land and dedicated in 1934 with the present day station completed in 1972.
Engine 44 (Retired) - 1995 KME 1500 gpm/750 gal.
Replaced with a 2019 Rosenbauer engine painted Grey-over-Red, this rig now serves a department in Maine.
Engine 26-46 - 2002 KME 1500 gpm/1000 gal.
This rig is equipped with pre-connected attack lines in crosslays (packed in a triple load) as well as on a reel.
Tower 26-49 - 2009 KME Aerialcat 102'/2500 gpm/250 gal.
The only elevating platform operated among Galloway Township's five volunteer fire companies, it is equipped with rope rescue gear.
Rescue 26-48 - 1990 Pierce Dash
Originally serving Pomona Fire Co# 3 (also of the Galloway Township FD) as the first heavy rescue in Atlantic County, it has since been acquired by Bayview and retains its' original color due to the high cost involved with repainting. It features a 25KW PTO generator, 20' light tower and is equipped with Hurst® extrication tools.
Utility 26-43 - 1998 Dodge/SWAB
Featuring a light tower, it serves as a back-up rescue in the event Rescue 26-48 is out of service.
