Germania Vol. Fire Co# 2
Organized in 1926, Germania Vol. Fire Co# 2 protects the Northwest section of Galloway Township serving a 33 square mile response area (the largest in the township). 30-40 active volunteers provide Fire and Rescue protection answering an average of 130 alarms annually.
Station 26-2
The original firehouse was a 30x40 two story structure with construction started in October of 1926 and completed in time to be dedicated on May 28th, 1927 marking one year to the day of the company's formation. Enlarged to twice its' size in 1931, the original firehouse still stands and present day houses gear racks, the kitchen and chiefs office. A second floor banquet hall is used to serve 1,500 turkey dinners during the company's annual fundraisers which happens to be one of Southern New Jersey's most popular firehouse dinners.
An addition was built in 1967 on the north side which added two apparatus bays while in 1981 two apparatus bays and a meeting room were added. In 2011, over sixty solar panels were installed by the members which covers 75% of the electric usage within the firehouse.
Engine 26-26 - 2006 KME Predator 1500 gpm/1000 gal.
Responding first due, it is equipped with five pre-connects as a well as a 2-1/2" BlitzfireTM monitor.
Engine 26-25 - 1994 Emergency One 1500 gpm/1000 gal.
The company's first enclosed cab apparatus, it responded first due from 1995-2007. Present day, it operates as part of the Atlantic County Large Diameter Hose Taskforce.
Tanker 26-29 (Retired) - 1990 International/S & S 1500 gpm/3000 gal.
Responding as part of the Atlantic County Tanker Taskforce, it carries a 3,000 gallon portable folding tank. It is outfitted with 1" forestry attack hose and 5" LDH pre-connects above the pump panel.

Brush 26-27 - 2017 Ford F450 - HP Pump & Roll/313 gal.
Modeled after the "trail truck" style brush rigs commonly used in Central and Southern New Jersey, it is equipped with pump and roll capacity.
Brush 26-27 - 1967 International Loadstar 1700/Bruco 750 gpm/500 gal.
One of the largest brush trucks in Southern New Jersey, it is also the oldest active frontline piece operating in Galloway Township. It was refurbished in the early 1990's by S & S Custom Fire Equipment of Berlin, New Jersey.
Utility 26-28 - 2004 Ford F250/Rescue 1
Featuring a light tower, it is equipped with spare SCBA cylinders and rehab equipment.
Antique - 1931 Buffalo 500 gpm/400 gal.
Having served for over 30 years, it was sold in the 1960's to Post Marine in Mays Landing, New Jersey. Upon being retired in 1979, it was traded back to the company in return for a 1951 International. This classic is preserved in the pristine condition shown with all original condition.
