Read MoreHaving previously been served by the neighboring Marmora and Ocean View Volunteer Fire Companies, the Seaville Vol. Fire Co. was planned and incorporated in 1964. Members initially joined the Marmora VFC and used a loaner rig housed in a gas station across from the present day firehouse.
In 1995, the company changed its' name to Seaville Volunteer Fire and Rescue to better reflect their ever changing mission.Cape May County Station 19
The company's first rig (a 1944 International loaned by the Marmora Fire co.) was stored in a gas station across from the present day station. In 1966, the original firehouse was built on donated land with the house siren and social hall
(where bingo was run for 15 years) added in 1977. In 1986 the size of the building was tripled while leaving the original two bay station intact within and in 2003 an additional expansion including the social hall was begun with completion by 2006.TeleSqurt Pumper 1960 - 2005 Pierce Dash 50'/1500/750
Seating six, it is outfitted with a 10kw hydraulic generator as well as 1-3/4" and 2-1/2" pre-connects. The Tele-Squrt came off of a 1974 Grumman that had been purchased from the neighboring Marmora Fire Co.
and was remounted on a new Pierce chassis which was a 100% single source production at Pierce's Wisconsin facility.
