East Windsor FC# 2

Organized in 1977, East Windsor Vol. Fire Co. No. 2 provides fire protection to a two square mile hydranted area as well as  a six square mile non-hydranted response area. Thirty two active volunteers answer an annual average of  550 alarms.

Mercer County Station 46

The firehouse was developed when the builder of a large apartment complex provided the township with this garage formerly used for storage of work trucks. Living quarters were added to create this functional firehouse.

Engine 46-1 - 2004 Pierce Quantum 2000 gpm/1000 gal.  

Engine 46-1 is outfitted with three pre-connects (with fog and smooth bore nozzles), a 2-1/2" rear pre-connect as well as a 3" pre-connected blitz monitor on the rear step.

Engine 46-2 (Retired) - 1976 Mack MB-600/JC Moore 1250 gpm/1000 gal

Originally a standard pumper, Engine 46-2 was sent to JC Moore where it was rehabbed with a larger water tank and upgraded pump to serve as a water supply piece. After 45 years of faithful service, it was replaced with a 2021 Spartan ERV 1750/1500 pumper to meet the rural water needs of their response area. This rig is only the second Mack MB model I have ever photographed in all my travels across the Northeast (and beyond).
