Read MoreInitially organized in 1960 as a dive rescue team, Parsippany Rescue and Recovery has evolved into a unique multi-discipline emergency response agency providing technical rescue and support services townwide. Serving the most populated town in Morris County with over 50,000 residents, the squad’s 30 active volunteer members and cadets operate from two stations answering an average of 450 alarms annually. The squad’s rescue capabilities include vehicle extrication (including along Interstates 80, 280 and 287), elevator/machinery entrapment, dive/water, confined space/rope and trench/collapse. They also provide special services including fire and crime scene board-up, pump-out services, emergency power and lighting as well as rehabilitation services for the six fire districts and two first aid squads of Parsippany-Troy Hills Township.
Rescue 69/1 - 2013 Freightliner M2/Pierce
Custom designed as a dive rescue/special services response unit, this rig features an 18.5’ walk-in box with both a command and diver suit-up area. It is outfitted with a roll-off awning, NightScan® light tower and 20kw PTO generator. It's equipment complement includes six sets of dive gear, eight sets each of ice rescue equipment and swift water rescue PPE as well as multiple pre-rigged rope kits for establishing high lines for swift water rescue, a rope Lyle Gun
and a rescue sled. In addition, it also carries cordless power tools (including an air powered nail gun), two 16" gas powered chainsaws and three portable dewatering pumps each with 200' of hose. Twelve sheets of plywood are carried for

Rescue 69/2 - 2008 Freightliner M2/Emergency One
Responding as the primary rescue out of the Lake Parsippany substation, it is outfitted for vehicle extrication, water rescue and special services. It features a 28kw PTO generator, light tower and three receiver points for an 8,000 pound portable winch. Its' equipment complement includes two hydraulic Hurst® extrication tools, Hurst® EWXT underwater rated battery powered spreaders and cutters, Paratech® air bags, three SCBA, multiple rotary saws and three Honda® portable generators.

Rescue 69/3 - 2001 Freightliner FL70/EVI
Assigned as the primary rescue responding from Headquarters, it is equipped for vehicle extrication, elevator entrapment, pump-outs, power generating and incident command. Outfitted with a 28 kw generator, two 6,000 watt light towers and a rear winch rated to 28,000 pounds, it features a walk-in command center. It is equipped with one set of hydraulic Hurst® extrication tools, Hurst® e-Draulic battery powered spreader and cutter, assorted large capacity Vetter® air bags
(total lifting capacity of 234,470 pounds), two 20 ton air/hydraulic bottle jacks and multiple long timbers for shoring operations. In addition, it carries Honda® generators, dewatering pumps and multiple hand tools to support forcible entry and trench operations.Rescue 69/4 Bravo - 1986 Chevy C60/SWAB
Featuring four wheel drive, this rig is utilized for on/off road operations including dive support and patient transport from remote locations. It features a 12kw generator, 12,000 lb. front mount A-frame assembly winch and a 28,000 lb. rear winch. It is equipped with Hurst® extrication tools with gas and electric portable power units, two SCBA and basic forcible entry hand tools. Formerly identified as Rescue 69/4,
a new 2022 Freightliner M2-112/Maintainer Bodies technical support unit complete with a 5,500 pound crane with light head and camera is slated to enter service in early 2022 and will be assuming that radio designator.Rescue 69/6 - 1995 Freightliner FL70/EVI
Rescue 69/6 is assigned for vehicle extrication, elevator entrapment, power/lighting and cascade support. Accordingly, it features a six bottle 6,000 PSI cascade system with booster pump, 18,000 watts of scene lighting (including two 6,000 watt light towers)
and a 28,000 pound hydraulic winch with rear A-frame assembly. It is outfitted with a Hurst® combi-tool and spreader, air bags with a total lift capacity of 237,740 pounds, Res-Q-Jack® Super X-Struts, four SCBA, electric chainsaw and forcible entry hand tools.69-Marine 1 & 2 - 2020 ONE Boat Rescue Boats R ONE series 1660
Dubbed “The Navy”, this complete rescue watercraft package entered service in 2020 and consists of three rescue boats transported on a custom double stack transport trailer. Constructed with an aluminum hull, they feature interior safety lighting, work lights, a night ops lighting package and Tomar® LED emergency lights. The bottom boat is outfitted with a 40hp Mercury Jet Drive motor as well as a sonar unit while the top boat is powered by a 40HP Mercury prop motor. An upgrade to the tongue area allows for an inflatable with an air-floor to be rolled up and stored for transport. The trailer package is topped off with a removable Trailer Tower ™ providing 22k lumens of LED lighting and
