Jackson Township Vol. Fire Co# 1
Originally known as Hulses Corner Fire Company when organized in 1951, the present day Jackson Township Vol. Fire Co# 1 serves the Northeast portion of Jackson Township as Fire District# 3
(one of four districts). With combination staffing of 12 full time Firefighter/EMT's and nearly 50 volunteers operating from two stations, District 3 provides fire protection to the smallest land area which is heavily developed with 95% hydrant coverage.
Engine 5501 - 2014 Pierce Arrow XT 1500 gpm/750 gal./30 gal. foam
Responding first due from Station 55-1, it replaced the 1981 Hahn 1000/750 shown below. A similar 2010 Pierce Arrow XT engine (2000/750/50) operates first due from Station 55.
Engine 5521 (Retired) - 1993 1500 gpm/750 gal/30 gal. foam
Retired in 2022, this rig was replaced with a Ferrara Inferno 2000/750/30F engine painted in Jackson Township's striking Red-over-White-over-Red color scheme.
Engine 5501 (Retired) - 1981 Hahn 1000 gpm/750 gal.
After 34 years of frontline service, this classic Hahn is maintained as the company's antique.
Brush Engine 5519 - 1995 Ford F350 XL/Lee's Emergency Eqpt. 300 gpm/250 gal.
Ladder 5505 - 2008 Pierce Arrow XT 95'/2000 gpm/300 gal.
Rescue 5513 - 1992 Pierce Lance
Originally serving the Deer Park (Long Island, New York) FD, this rig was placed into service in early 2019 to replace a 1989 Ford L8000/Saulsbury walk-in style rescue. It retains the artwork of Deer Park's Ladder Co. 4 with the motto "No Fire Too Great, No Rescue Too Tough".
