Organized in 1951, the company was officially recognized by the Dover Township Board of Fire Commissioners (later changed to the Toms River Fire District# 2 in 2006). Present day, the company provides Fire and Technical
Rescue services answering 350 alarms annually.
Engine 29 (2931) - 2018 Rosenbauer Commander 2000 gpm/750. gal.
Seating seven, this rig replaced a 2000 Spartan/Saulsbury 2000/750 engine. It is outfitted with 1,100' of 5" LDH supply line, RIT equipment, Stokes basket and Hurst® e-Draulic extrication tools (cutter/spreader) in the front bumper.

Having replaced a 1994 Simon-Duplex/SVI walk around heavy rescue, Squad 29 features an 8 kw generator and the pump panel enclosed behind a roll-up door. Silverton Fire Company established their squad company in 2019 combining the functions of an engine,
heavy rescue and water rescue/rehab unit - as part of both the Toms River Fire District# 2 Special Operations Team and Ocean County Regional Urban Strike Team, it is equipped for high angle,

Tower 29 replaced a former 1992 Simon-Duplex/LTI 100'/1500 gpm rear mount platform.
Brush 29 (2909) - 2003 Ford F450 100 gpm/300 gal.
Featuring wrap-around front end protection, Brush 29 replaced a 1984 Dodge Power Wagon featuring a 200 gpm pump and 250 gallon tank.
Utility 29 (2927) - 2020 Ford F250
Assigned to handle traffic control, Utility 29 is outfitted with an electrically operated folding information sign atop the uility body.

While their original rig was a 1952 American LaFrance bought from $1 from the Atlantic Highlands Fire Co. in neighboring Monmouth County, this was the first new rig purchased by Silverton. In an interesting coincidence, a member of the Trautwein family that owned TASC Fire Apparatus is still is a member of Silverton Fire Company.
