Organized in 1926, the Fuller Road FD serves the southeastern portion of the Town of Colonie as one of twelve volunteer fire districts. Its’ volunteers provide Fire, Rescue and EMS First Response protection (in conjunction with career Colonie EMS) answering over 700 alarms annually.
Originally constructed as a three bay station in 1948, a fourth bay was added in the 1950's. In 1967, a full renovation was completed with an addition built in 1983 providing an enlarged kitchen area, office space and an elevator. Present day, Fuller Road operates their entire apparatus fleet from this station.
Engine 412 - 2009 Sutphen Monarch 2000 gpm/750 gal.
Seating eight (seven with SCBA and headsets for all riding positions), it features a 10kw hydraulic generator powering a 4500 watt six head light tower. It is outfitted with a 2” front trash line, two 2” crosslays and pre-connected speedlays, 800’ of attack line (300’ 1-3/4”, 500’ 2-1/2”) and 1,500’ of supply line (500’ 3” and 1,000’ 5” LDH).

Rescue 3 - 2000 American LaFrance Eagle 1500 gpm/500 gal.
Operating as a rescue engine (a common practice in Albany County), it is equipped with Holmatro® extrication tools, air bags, struts and rescue jacks.
Truck 3 - 2009 Sutphen SPH-100 100’/2000 gpm/300 gal.
Having replaced a 1990 model with the same specifications, this rig is the third Sutphen tower ladder operated by Fuller Road since 1972.
