Organized in 1952, Ischua VFD's twelve active volunteers provide Fire, Rescue and Basic Life Support EMS protection answering an annual average of over 185 alarms.
Engine 1 - 2004 International 4400/Emerency One Tradition 1250 gpm/1500 gal.
Seating five (four with SCBA), this rig is equipped with a 300' 1-1/2" pre-connect, a combined 2,000' of 2-1/2" attack/supply hose and 1,000' of 4" LDH supply line.
Mini 4 - 2009 GMC 4x4/Emergency One Tradition 1250 gpm/300 gal./30 gal. foam
Operating as a rescue engine, it is equipped with a portable Amkus® hydraulic pump providing power for a spreader, cutter and rams. It also carries four SCBA (two seat mounted, two in a compartment), a 100' 1-1/2" trash line, two 250' 1-1/2" pre-connects, 200' of 2-1/2" attack line and 400' of 4" LDH supply line.
Tanker 5 - 2023 Freightliner M2-106/Helie 750 gpm/2450 gal.
Constructed by a Canadian builder (the first Helie brand I have ever photographed), it features a remote control bumper mounted turret with joystick controller in the cab. It is outfitted with a 2,200 gallon portable folding tank as well as donut rolls of 1-1/2" and 2-1/2" attack line.
