Designed for over a year, this rig (one of the first in the region) demonstrates the forward thinking planning that went into this highly functional unit. Assigned for EMS first response, it features dual slide out trays in the rear with the most commonly used equipment stored on the right side (allowing just one door to be opened for quick access) with long equipment stored behind. The side storage compartments feature LED track lighting and an abundance of power strips (a prime example of forward planning for future power demands). Equipment carried includes forcible entry hand tools, a battery operated Hurst® StrongArm battery powered mini combi-tool, basic traffic control supplies and BLS medical gear including an AED.

One of only two airboats operated among Schenectady County's 27 fire departments, this craft measures 21' long and features a 6' prop blade. Outfitted with a 350 marine engine with headers and straight pipes, it can reach speeds of 20 knots on the water and up to 80 MPH on ice!
