Antique Engine 8-5-2 (Retired) - 1952 Ford F-7/FMC-John Bean HP pump/750 gal.
After 27 years of active service, this rig was retired in 1979 and is now utilized for parades, funeral details and special events. This rig is a personal favorite of mine based on an experience from my time as a junior fireman in the late 1980's - having been dropped off at a muster point for Cutchogue's annual parade and old fashioned firematic racing tournament
and realizing we were over a mile away from our intended muster point, our advisor promptly stuck his thumb out and this rig arrived at which point seventeen of us climbed aboard for
the ride. Thirty plus years later, I still remember hanging onto the booster reel rollers on the officer's side of the rig with the wind in my face rolling down the road!
