Palmer Fire District# 1

Serving as headquarters, this three bay firehouse operates with two engines and an aerial tower while an ancillary building in the rear houses a heavy rescue, tanker and forestry rig.

Engine 2 (Retired) - 1989 Maxim S Series 1500 gpm/1000 gal.

Retired in 2021 with a new Smeal engine, this rig now serves the Massachusetts Fire Academy as a training piece. It previously served on-site during recovery efforts at the Worcester Cold Storage Warehouse fire in 1999 that claimed the lives of six Worcester FD members.
