Named in honor of longtime Chief Philip Pinkowski Jr. who was lost in a LODD, this is one of two stations operated by the Clarendon VFD. Originally a two bay barn located in neighboring Rutland, it was moved to Clarendon in 1961 to act as the first firehouse and had an additional apparatus bay added in 1988.
Engine 3 (Retired) - 2002 Freightliner FL80/Ferrara 1250 gpm/750 gal.
Originally serving Palm Beach County (Florida) Fire Rescue, this rig operated with Clarendon VFD as a rescue engine equipped with Holmatro® extrication tools. Now serving in Mission, South Dakota it was replaced with a new 2021 Emergency One Typhoon series 1250/1500 pumper/tanker featuring a rear dump valve and 1,000' of 4" supply line. Clarendon VFD also operates with
a 2000 International/American Eagle 1250/1000 pumper-tanker (refurbished with new LED lighting and water tank) that responds from Station 2 to access narrow roadways within their response area.Tanker 1 - 1995 Freightliner FL70/3-D Fire Apparatus 1500 gal.
Built to operate strictly as a straight tanker, it is equipped with a rear mount pre-connected 250 gpm portable pump as well as a 2,100 gallon folding tank. It responds alongside Tanker 2, a 1991 Central States 1250/1300 pumper-tanker outfitted with three dump valves (side/rear) and a 1,500 gallon folding tank.
Support 1 (Retired) - 2008 GMC 3500 HD/2009 Emergency One
Retired in 2018, this rig now serves the fire department of a private industrial company in Canada. Formerly carrying the department’s extrication tools prior to the acquisition of the former Engine 3 detailed above, this rig later operated as a support piece carrying various fire and rescue equipment.
