In 2009, Abbottstown Fire Co# 12 and New Oxford Community Fire Co# 13 merged to form United Hook & Ladder 33 - in 2016 and 2019 respectively the Bonneauville Fire Co# 19 and Hampton Fire Co# 10 joined United to provide improved service to the multiple boroughs and townships they serve in Adams County. Present day, United Hook & Ladder 33 operates from four stations with 75 volunteers providing Fire, Rescue and Medical Assist (supporting Adams Regional EMS) services answering an annual average of 900 alarms.
Rescue 33 - 2015 Pierce Impel
Outfitted with a light tower, it is equipped with both Hurst® hydraulic (spreader, cutter and four rams) and Amkus® Ion series battery powered extrication tools (two spreaders and cutters). In addition, it also carries
air bags, Paratech® and Junk Yard Dog® rescue struts as well as rope and water rescue equipment.
