Read MoreInitially organized in 1902, Quarryville Fire Co. No. 1 was later reorganized in 1921. Protecting the largest response area in Lancaster County served by a single company, sixty volunteers provide Fire and Rescue protection for 98 square miles encompassing the Borough of Quarryville as well as the Townships of Eden, Colerain, East Druemore, Providence, Little Britain and Strasburg answering over 450 alarms annually.

This well equipped rig features a 30kw hydraulic generator, 18' six head light tower, 5,000 watts of scene lighting and a four bottle 5,000 PSI cascade system with two bottle fill station. Outfitted with two electric Hurst® Simo pumps powering four pre-connected extrication tools (as well as a back-up gasoline Simo pump), its' equipment complement includes a spreader, two MOC series cutters and a Maverick combi-tool, four rams and a pedal cutter. In addition, it carries seven Hurst® air bags, four Junkyard Dog® struts, high lift jacks, over 120 pieces of wooden cribbing, four cold water exposure suits, low angle rope rescue gear, a tri-pod with 4:1 pre-rigged mechanical advantage system and 100' lift line as well as an oxy-acetylene cutting torch. For firefighting, it is equipped with eight SCBA/radios (for all riding positions), five pre-connects, a rear 200' 3" "blitz line", 1,200' of 4" LDH supply line and 15 gallons of AFFF foam. A thermal imager, gas meter, electric PPV fan and assorted Stihl®

This rig replaced a 1981 Mack CF Aerialscope that originally served the FDNY which was placed in service in 1992. Seating six (complete with SCBA/radios for all positions), it features a 10kw generator, fourteen quartz scene lights (fixed and portable), a 2,000 gpm waterway with smooth bore and fog nozzles as well as bucket attachments for both a Stokes basket and parapet ladder. Its' equipment complement includes 188' of ground ladders, 14 pike poles (ranging from 3-14 feet long), three negative pressure fans, a PPV fan and assorted ventilation/forcible entry saws (chain/rotary/circular/reciprocating).
